Welcome to Matcha ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and personal health information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application Matcha(the "App").

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

TL;DR: Your caffeine and sleep data stays on your device. We don't collect or have access to your health data or personal information.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Health Data (Stored Locally)

Matcha allows you to record and track your caffeine intake and sleep patterns. This data includes:

• Caffeine intake logs (drink type, amount, date, time)
• Sleep schedule and bedtime settings
• Caffeine sensitivity preferences
• Custom drink entries
• Favorite drinks
• Sleep score and insights data

Important: All health data is stored locally on your device using SwiftData encrypted storage and is NOT transmitted to our servers. We do not have access to your caffeine logs, sleep data, or any health information.

2.2 Device Information

We may collect:

• Device type and operating system version
• Anonymous device identifier for subscription management
• App version and crash reports

2.3 Purchase Information

When you make a purchase, payment processing is handled entirely by Apple (App Store). We receive only:

• Confirmation of your subscription status
• Anonymous transaction identifiers
• Subscription type (monthly, yearly, or lifetime)

We do NOT have access to your payment details, credit card information, or Apple ID credentials.

2.4 iCloud Sync (Optional)

If you enable iCloud Sync, your data is:

• Synced through your personal iCloud account via CloudKit
• Encrypted by Apple's CloudKit infrastructure
• Only accessible by you through your Apple ID
• NOT accessible by Wizlab or any third parties

2.5 Apple Health Integration (Optional)

If you enable Apple Health sync, Matcha will:

• Write caffeine intake data to Apple Health
• Read sleep data from Apple Health (with your permission)
• Process data locally - no health data is sent to our servers

Apple Health data is governed by Apple's privacy policy and protected by your device's security features (Face ID, Touch ID, passcode).

2.6 Apple Watch Data

If you use Matcha on Apple Watch:

• Data is synced between your iPhone and Apple Watch using WatchConnectivity
• All data remains on your devices
• Complications display data stored locally on your watch

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Provide and maintain the App's functionality
• Calculate your caffeine levels and sleep predictions
• Generate sleep scores and personalized insights
• Process and manage your subscriptions
• Improve and optimize the App experience
• Detect and prevent technical issues
• Respond to your support requests

We do NOT use your health data for advertising, marketing, or any purpose other than providing the App's core functionality to you.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your health data is stored locally on your device using SwiftData with encryption. This data is:

• Encrypted at rest by iOS
• Protected by your device passcode/Face ID/Touch ID
• Backed up to iCloud only if you enable device backup or iCloud Sync
• Deleted when you uninstall the App (unless backed up to iCloud)

5. Third-Party Services

5.1 RevenueCat

We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and in-app purchases. RevenueCat may collect anonymous identifiers to track subscription status. For more information, see RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

5.2 Apple Services

The App integrates with Apple App Store for purchases, Apple HealthKit for health sync, Apple CloudKit for iCloud sync, and Apple WatchKit for Apple Watch functionality. These services are governed by Apple's privacy policy.

5.3 No Analytics

Matcha does NOT use any analytics SDKs (no Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, etc.). We prioritize your privacy over usage metrics.

You have the right to:

• Access: View all your data stored in the App
• Export: Export your data using in-app features
• Delete: Remove all your data by uninstalling the App or using in-app data reset
• Control Sync: Enable/disable iCloud Sync and Apple Health integration
• Revoke Permissions: Revoke HealthKit permissions in iOS Settings at any time

7. Children's Privacy

Matcha is rated 4+ and may be used by individuals of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without parental consent. The App does not require account creation and all data is stored locally on the device.
